Undermount refrigeration units with an evaporator

Undermount refrigeration units are designed to be mounted under the vehicle’s box. The units are available in a variety of designs with one or more temperature zones.

Undermount refrigeration units are used for all types of shipments where food and other refrigerated goods have to be cooled down quickly. An example of undermount refrigeration units is Hultstein’s Lowline 8, which includes a separate evaporator. It is powered by a hydraulic constant flow pump, which is mounted directly on the truck’s PTO. These units provide constant power whatever the engine speed and reduce both fuel consumption and emissions. It is also possible to have multiple temperature zones in the box for different types of goods.
